In Slovenia, beekeeping is one of the oldest traditional crafts which has had a considerable influence on local culture.

When you arrive at Žirovnica, stop at the famous Anton Janša’s memorial apiary and at the birth place of the most important Slovenian poet, France Prešeren – besides a spoonful of culture you can also expect some delicious honey cookies.
